1. Just what I was looking for, with a "but" ...

   the room I needed it for originally had skirting board all the way around it. A section was removed roughly 15 years ago when a fitted wardrobe space and bed were installed by a joiner. To get it to fit flush with the wall he had to remove a section of the skirting. We have since removed the fitted furniture as the room was totally redecorated and returned to its original cleared state. This of course, left a huge gap in the skirting where the wardrobe once stood. The depth of the old ovolo skirting which originally came from B&Q was 20mm. It isn't just an issue with skirting express, it's all online suppliers, but it seems the standard depths available today are either 18mm or 25mm. No 20mm. This meant my choices were either, rip the whole old skirting out and have a bigger job on my hands, or go with the nearest size to fill in the gap and do my best to blend it in. I chose the latter. To me, 2mm under the old skirting's depth was the lesser of the 2 evils than the 5mm over. I then did my best to blend in the lines using polyfiller. I'm not a tradesman, simply a DIYer. I'm satisfied with the result. A desk will be going in front of it anyway so you'd really have to be looking for it to notice the difference. But the simple reason this is 4 stars over 5 is simply because there was no 20mm depth option. But as I say, this isn't a dig squarely at Skirting Express, this seems to be the norm across the board (the skirting board haha ..... Sorry ....). They most likely use the same suppliers so if any read this review, consider offering 20mm! Thanks for reading.

2. Job done

   Arrived within specified time well protected and undamaged.
   Profile was a close enough match to 1930s pattern to blend in in with but not match exactly to.... which is reasonable given the age of the original. Only very minor complaint is undercoat comes off on clothes and hands but only like chalk dust.
   Recommended quality to renovate old skirting damaged or missing.

3. Good Product Bad Service

   I ordered Ovolo skirting and paid for it but then didn't hear anything.
   I waited a week before contacting them and asked what was happening.
   They then said that it would be delivered in a couple of days but gave me no other details. So I emailed again and asked who was delivering it and when.
   I was told it would be Tuffnells but no time. Nobody contacted me again and nobody contacted me from the courier company. Then a couple of days later it was delivered, without any contact or warning. Fortunately there was someone on site to accept it but they are not "Express" and I will never use them again.

5. Nice looking Ovolo eggshell skirting

   Ordered ready painted skirting which arrived well packed. Once opened there was 4 out of 10 chipped right in the middle of 4.2 m skirting. Must of been packed damaged as it would be impossible for it to chip in the transport. Having not checked the skirting on the delivery I can't complain. Now skirting are up and they look very nice however I will sadly need to repair and paint the damaged areas and I needed all the lengths for my walls. I will be ordering architraves to match my skirting but this time will have to open the packs and check every item as I don't want to find any damages as with my skirting which now requires further work. Otherwise great looking eggshell painted skirtings.

6. Almost Perfect

   Excellent price (half of what wickes charge for an almost identical fully finished skirting board)
   Very Good finish and packaging with no damage, only minor "witness marks" from where the boards where touching. A thin piece of paper between each layer would stop this.
   Overall an excellent item / service from skirting express . Will definitely use again.

7. Good Product

   The skirting we chose was exactly what we wanted and for a reasonable price.
   It is easy to cut (with the right saw) and corner cuts are no problem.
   Skirting Express kept me informed of the delivery process and delivered as planned.
   The board is easy to paint with gloss and quite flexible when fitting.
   Finally, it looks good in place - a great improvement over our old ones.

   The whole process was straightforward and easy to understand.
   
   The skirting was exactly as specified, was delivered within the indicated time frame and was well protected by the packaging.
